Mission
Irish dancing is just as much a mental activity as it is a physical one, and dancers of all ages and skill levels must take care of their minds and bodies in order to succeed. Julia, the creator of Irish Dance for the Soul, grew up in the competitive Irish dancing world and knows firsthand how challenging it can be to balance athletics, school, a social life, and mental health. By the time she graduated from the University of Georgia with her Master's degree in Social Work and entered professional practice, Julia had become very passionate about her dream of bringing accessible, evidence-based therapeutic concepts and skills to the Irish dance community to promote wellbeing for dancers, parents, and teachers alike. Irish Dance for the Soul aims to provide educational resources on the topics of mindfulness, confidence building, performance anxiety, nutrition, effective teamwork, and more to help support members of the Irish dance community during any stage of their journey.
